I think the Braves are doing ok. Shame about Kirby Puckett, though. He was a hell of a player.

I hate the Yankees, so much so that I became a Red Sox fan. I d**n near had a heart attack when Johnny Damon went over to the Evil Empire.
Useless trivia: There are 108 stitched in a baseball. Coincidence? I think not!

My neighbor kid was a HUGE Johnny Damon and RedSox fan. He grew his hair just like Johnny's. I think he would have grown a scruffy beard, too, if he could. Anyway, when Johnny jumped ship, he couldn't talk about it. He immediately got a buzz cut.
Hey, it's opening day at The K for the Royals next Tuesday. Let the beatings begin! Unfortunately, cynicism is all we Royals fans have left to cling to.

I think Coco Crisp will make you forget all about Damon leaving. Until he shows up at Fenway that is. Doesn't matter; I don't think the Yankees will have enough to make it this year.

I used to have sympathy for Red Sox fans over Damon leaving - until they signed Arroyo to a cut-rate deal, and traded him for Pena. Arroyo forgot the #1 rule in signing contracts: "Thou shalt not give your team a hometown discount without a no-trade clause."

*prepares to receive tons of smites* i don't see how baseball is exciting. it's pretty dull to me. someone keeps throwing a ball until someone is able to hit it. finally we get some action but like 5 seconds of it. even the fans at the stadium are bored. they throw around those beach volley balls. i prefer fast-paced sports like basketball or soccer(even though i cant play soccer).could anyone tell me why baseball is so great?

Fu-lin-yu, baseball is very exciting at times and at other times very relaxing. I love to go to the ballpark and just hang out. It's a wonderful atmosphere-- interesting people, fun little side entertainment going on, nice breeze outside, opportunity to catch a ball, good hot dogs, and sometimes a great game. That's why Baseball is known as America's favorite pasttime, because you are there to pass time in an enjoyable way. On TV baseball can be very boring.
