Hm. Is there a coincidence? Heiden is a doctor now, right?

Yeah, makes one realize how dangerous these sports can be. I've been watching some Curling on USA network. I would like to try that game. Looks like fun. I don't really understand much about it, but hey, it still looks like fun. Wow, I tivoed a 3! hour long curling match yesterday on USA. I watched it for about 10 minutes. After I was bored out of my mind, I watched it at 2-fast forward and it was a little more interesting. I'd prolly like it better if I understood it, but I'd much rather watch snowboarding, mougles, slolam, speed skating, or any other fast sport. If I could have summer olympics every two years and totally get rid of the winter olympics, I'd be ok with that too.

i usually can't stand the olympics, i don't see much point in them but atm i'm sofa-ridden with flu so i have become obsessed. curling can get quite tense if you find out about the rules on Wikipedia... lol. i have no life

Well, Johnny Weir (I'm Weir, I'm here, (and probably queer , get used to it) clutched last night. Dang. That new snowboarding cross looked like FUN, FUN, FUN!

There's something that bothers me. USA has 250 million people. We have lots of snow, lots of open country, and lots of guns. What is the problem with getting some good cross country skiers and biathletes here?

Kenia has one. PS. Tomorrow the 1000 metres speed skating. What will it be? Cheek and Davis? Or Bos, Nijenhuis and Wennemars? I'll be watching.

Well, congratulations then... Davis and Cheek gold and silver on the 1000 metres. Luckily at least one Dutchman got to the stage.. Let's see what the 1500 delivers us!

WooHOO! Good skating was had by all! I tell you what, though, that Shani Davis comes across as somewhat of a jerk.
How 'bout our silly dilly girl who had the gold and decided to do a trick at the end of the Snowboard Cross?! Oh, my gosh! They made a really big deal out of it over here. They said there is really nothing that compares to her stupidity. Even when a guy showed off while running a football across the goal line in the Superbowl and got it knocked out of his hand did not compare. His team still won the game.
Poor girl. Hard lesson to learn. She's lucky she even got a medal. If both Canadians hadn't wiped out, she would have lost.

That was a hard lesson she won't soon forget. It was an exciting finish though. I can't believe how fast they go on that course!

Did anyone else enjoy the Italian ice dancing diva drama? Good grief! That woman looks hard to deal with! My kids and I were wondering if he was waiting for the perfect moment to drop her on her head last night.

Ice dancing I can't handle. Boring imo. I did catch the US Mens speed skating incident between Hendricks and Shani whats-his-name. They will never be best friends thats for sure.

I wonder if we could start up a cyberspace curling team. We could have 4 people from any country, doesn't matter. We could just represent cyberspace. A lot of the curling girls are cute and it looks pretty easy, so if anyone is interested, I will be in the team if you want.
Gold medal goes to the internet!!!!111X0rz
