Reuters-ReportOne of the greatest creative minds and most influential novellist of the 20th century passed away at the age of 90 in a Sri Lankian hospital. He is best known to have created Odyssee 2001-which he later turned into an epic movie in collaboration with Stanley Kubrick. He spoke of satellites in his novels, long before sputnik, inspired Earth watch (an organisation monitoring the sky for extinction event comets and asteroids ) and was one of my personal heroes in regards to tolerance, openness of mind and wit. RIP Arthur- Father of H.A.L.

Yes indeed, a great loss. There was even a Jeopardy question on him last night, quite a coincidence.
