okay was re-written by stephen king. but originally written by richard bachman/king's alias. if you read any of the bachman books like. rage, longwalk, roadwork, or even the running man *if you haven't i highly recommend you pick them up* king re-publishes this and so far the reads actually really really good here's the uh summary i think
Big Mother
At 6'7" and just under 300 pounds, Clay Blaisdell is one big mother, but his capers were just small-time until he met George Rackley. George introduced him to a hundred cons and one big idea: kidnapping the child of rich parents. The Gerards are filthy rich, and the last twig on the family tree could be worth millions. There's only one problem: by the time the deal goes down, the brains of the partnership is dead. Or is he? Now blaze is running into the teeth of a howling storm and the cops are closing in. He's got a baby as a hostage, and the Crime of the Century just turned into a race against time in the white hell of the Maine woods.
okay so taht's just overview but in the beggining they kinda do the present situation. then give a look back at Blaze's/Blaisdell's past. Supposedly king says it's a strong novel as well as a little bit of a book to make you "misty"
so for true fans it's a definent buy, and if ur kinda just wondering what the hell i'm talking about check your local library for it

I heard its really good. I personally don't really like Bachman, he is too nutty and creepy for me, but I do plan on reading this book eventually.

Its more like the darker side of King. Too cynical and nutty for my taste.
Seriously, read some of King's books, and you'll notice a definite difference between King and Bachman.
At least, that's what I think.

King does give me the jeepers, but it almost seems like Bachman was a part of King that was even more darker.
Its really hard to explain.
