OMG yes it is! Other than The Talisman, which was written by Stephen King and Peter Straub, this is his best work ever! But do yourself a favor and get the unedited, uncut version. YOu'll love the ending better!

I will agree that "It" is a pretty good read, but if you want a story that pulls you in and gives you great character development from Stephen King, the I suggest reading "The Stand". And like Ben said, get the unedited uncut version...lol
