Death Proof *Spoilers*

I don't know if this movie has been discussed on this board before but i finally saw this movie and i was very disappointed. I have loved every movie Quentin Tarantino has made so far but this movie slowly got worse and worse.

I was actually really enjoying it during the first half of the movie with the first set of girls. But slowly it just got worse and worse and i just couldn't sit through so much (IMO) boring dialouge. Normally Tarantino's dialogue is well written and interesting but i just was not interested in what the second set of girls were saying.

I couldn't stand the final car chase with the girl strapped to the hood of the car. I normally don't get angry at movies but i wanted to scream at my TV for the girls to just stop the car! I actually began fast forwarding it while the girls began chasing stunt-man mike and started watching it again right before the slam into the side of his car. Then i began fast forwarding it again through the 10 minutes (ok thats an exaggeration) of punches the girls deal upon stunt-man mike.

So basically I was really disappointed but maybe i was expecting too much. I'm probably still going to watch Planet Terror (which from the previews looks pretty interesting to me) but now i don't regret missing seeing the two movies in the theater.

Anyone else want to share their thoughts?

i actually really liked death proof. the build up to the chase scenes was paced well for me, and i liked the old school style of the car chases.

i didn't enjoy planet terror as much, though i would recommend both to any previous fans of QT and RR.

Yea maybe its becuase im not too old that i didnt enjoy the car chase. I havent seen too many movies with that style of car chase in them
