(sorry if there's a pirates 3 thread. I couldn't find it.) Okay so WILL'S NOT DEAD!!!!!!! Here's why:
When Davey Jones went to talk to Calypso in her cell, he said "10 years I farried the souls of the dead and when I came back to the island, you weren't there. Why?" and Calypso says "It's in my nature." if Calypso would have been there when Davey Jones showed up the curse would have been lifted.
So Will died and became captain of the Dutchman for ten years, and when he came back, Elizabeth was standing on the island waiting for him. Therefore, the curse will be broken!!!!!!!
And that is why when Will came back there was the flash of green light which as you all know signals a soul entering back into the world of the living!!! ;D I AM SOO HAPPY NOW!! |

They always do that. They "kill" someone but he always comes back.

Well the captain of the Flying Dutchman is immortal, so Will never died. Once Davy Jones stabbed Will, Jack made Will's hand kill Davy Jones, so technically he didn't die. But he can only return to land once every 10 years. I don't think that if your lover is waiting for you then it breaks the curse, isn't the only way to break it is by killing the heart? And that means he would be dead.

Yeah...the thing at the end of the credits (I didn't see it, but some friends told me) apparently she's like waiting for him and she's with their kid or something. I don't know the movie was way too complicated for me to enjoy.

I liked this one much more than #2...#2 was too silly at times, and had too many purposeless scenes.

I saw it for the second time last night and enjoyed it even more. The first time there is a lot to take in, so a second viewing helps.

I can't really pick one that I like over the others. They each have parts that I love, so I love them all. I can't wait for p3 to come out on dvd so I can have a marathon of all three in one sitting. ;D

My friend tells me that the above is confirmed. The writers deleted the scene because the movie was so long. They thought that it would be clear. I'm told the deleted scene will be on the DVD ;D |
