www.goldencompassmovie.com/Trailer is now up. Looks very cool - it's based on Pullman's Dark Matter series of books. If you haven't read they are very good and worth picking up. JLSK

Yeah, looks like they really did a terrific job. Plus Sam Elliot, one of my favourite actors. Hopefully the screenplay does justice to the books.

Wow, how many books are there? i mean, the special effects look like they put to much cgi in, and i've always disliked tlaking animals in movies (even in narmia...there are just htings that work better in books. Its not anyoens fault...tis jsut me...)

I heard that they've taken out the religious aspects ... that would totally suck O.o I mean what's left of the book if you take away the church and the bible. How will the explain everything? Hmmm But the trailer looks sooo awesome. I can't wait

Just read the first book and it was a great read. I'm gonna try to read the rest of the trilogy this summer, but with the new Harry Potter coming out, I don't know if I'll be able.
I'm really looking forward to this movie now.

Went to see the new HP movie and saw this trailer again. During the polarbear fight scene, my sister leaned over and said "The Coca-Cola bears are angry" I laughed through the rest of the previews. Just thought I'd share that funny with you all.
