Yeah, I watched the first season in like 3 days - and it only took that long because I had to work!

I had the weirdest experience watching the first season. I was at my friends' house, and the dog was being crazy, people were ordering pizza... I didn't get much out of the pilot. Then I found the DVD set for $20, and unimpressed little me couldn't help but buy them, because that's such a great deal! I watched the entire season in a day, it was SO fantastic. The only problem then was waiting to watch season two! I recommend both seasons very highly. My mom liked season two more, and I liked them the same amount. Season three, at face value looks less good, but if you have trust (much like with Lost, lol) the end of the stories come to fruition and they blow you away. At least I was blown away! Now we are having the standalones, and they aren't really working to push up the ratings. They are still great though, and the whole idea is to allow new viewers to find a place to jump in and start watching.

I was just filming a little movie with a guy who was on Veronica Mars. He played my dad. It was really fun and he was really nice

That's pretty awesome about the movie. I feel slightly jealous, lol! Somehow, Veronica Mars is still not canceled yet! This can only mean one thing... they are waiting on tomorrow night's ratings. If ANYONE reading this knows a Nielsen family or knows someone who knows a Nielsen family... Veronica Mars is what that family needs to be watching. They'll like it. It looks like the best episode so far this sweeps! Of course, if any non-Nielsen viewers would like to join in all the fun, I wouldn't complain either...

They didn't. It's over folks. Thank you everyone for watching, and I'm glad some of you enjoyed it. Even short lived, it was one of the greatest shows ever. It was the little show that could... really, and it was amazing it got three seasons. The finale looks very good, and I will miss it when it's over. Today is a sad, sad day.

so there's no chance for another network or something to pick it up?

I've heard (but not looked myself) that the folks on the Eonline message boards are going to petition TNT to pick it up. I really don't think these efforts will be successful, but I'll probably participate in them anyway.
What I'm really hoping though, is that we get a book. Rob Thomas has spoken about doing a movie a few weeks ago, in order to wrap up the plot lines supposedly cliffhangering in next week's finale. However, after Serenity didn't exactly do well, even though a Veronica Mars movie would be considerably cheaper, I would be surprised if any studios jump at the chance to produce it.
Veronica Mars was originally a book idea, and Rob Thomas knows how to write a novel. To me, this would be the most likely way to wrap up. Not exactly preferable, but so good I would scream for joy if it happened.

Oh no. There will still be plenty and you never know, you see plenty of show faves that are there as fans. They are not even doing any panels, but show up anyway. Plus there are those who wander they exihibition hall checking out all the booths (Joss Whedon and Seth Green come to mind from past seasons. I know there were more, but those are the ones I think of right now.{Jason D, you need to attend - it's fun! ;D})
Besides, there is this show called Lost who might make an appearance.

I have just heard some people mentioning it once or twice. I'm not sure what it's about, but I guess we can check it out since that CW/WB cancelled the best show on their network.

Man, I totally wish I could afford to go to Comic Con. I saw clips from the VM and Lost panels last year. It looks like the hugest blast. I hope you guys have lots of fun and get to meet cool people!
Veronica Mars walked out of my life tonight the same way she walked in... with a dog in the room demanding my attention. During the final scenes of tonight's excellent final episode, my dog decided that he needed to be a pain. At first I was annoyed by the distraction, but then, I smiled. Even though this is obviously just my personal experience with the show... the first time I watched the pilot my friend's dog Hobbes was just so excited that I was over he wouldn't leave me alone and... it's just this totally fitting bookend... for me anyway.
I will miss you Veronica Mars, and your stupid *ss face.
