First off, don't mess with any of those direct file connect networks like Limewire or BearShare… Get a Bit Torrent client (like Xtorrent) and that part will be much better. Torrents are a much better way to go (and don't forget to leave the client running so others can continue to share the pieces you downloaded with minimal strain on your system, it's just good etiquette). www.xtorrentp2p.com/As for watching the file, don't use Quicktime. Although I love Apple and Quicktime for what it is good at, playback of all sorts of formats is not one of them. Get yourself the VLC player. It will play nearly ANYTHING, without needing any more plug-ins or anything. Just get the newest version and all is good to go. www.videolan.org/vlc/

I´d suggest azureus for "torrenting" and agee with dragavan about the P2P networks although I most likely have a lower "ratio" then he does cheers oLO

Azureus is a VERY robust and powerful program (and I do use it on my server computer at home, but not on my working computer), but it is not user friendly, does not include a built in search feature, and is a Java App (which means it is a HUGE processor hog). It is nice that it works on both Mac OSX and Windows, but the downsides make it not that great to use on your primary machine while you are trying to do other things on it. azureus.sourceforge.net/There is also a really nice one called Transmission that has a small processor footprint and is easy to use, but also doesn't include a search feature. transmission.m0k.org/The reason I suggest Xtorrent for most people coming from things like Limewire or BearShare is the built in search feature. Most of the others require you to go to Torrent search sites and find the torrent files yourself. Xtorrent connects to a number of them for you and allows you to search and download directly from within the program (just like the P2P users are used to).

Azureus gave me gas and made my cat pregnant... which was really strange, because I don't even HAVE a cat. Try uTorrent, or - in a Mac environment, use torrent tomato.
