Ok, I am gonna try something a little different, so bear with me.
Acting: Acting, where to begin . . . oh yeah, that's right! It sucks. Then again, its a horror film sequel of a movie I hated for its lack of answers. So there you have it. Score: D-
Story: Let's get into the meat and potatoes, or, rather, the tofu and fries. While it does answer questions as to why the curse is as strong as it is, the rest of the storyline left me upset, killing as many characters as the director felt like to prove the point that the grudge curse is powerful. Yea, we got that in the first movie, Sam Raimi. It leaves it open for a third movie, but with most of the characters that they introduce dead, I don't know where they can pick it up. Score: C
Scares: In celebration of Halloween, I bring up a new topic. THis movie has to be in my top five of scariest movies ever. Right now, I have all the lights on in my bedroom, and all my music is turned off. Yea, this movie scared the $#!+ out of me. The trailer gave me everything I expected in the scary department. Score: A+
Soundtrack: Basically the same as the first. Which was pretty good in the first one, and while it sets the mood for the second one, it just wasn't enough. Score: B-
Final Score: C
Final Say: While it wasn't what I thought it would be, it is a step in the right direction for the series, giving me the scares that I didn't get from the first one. Hope they continue this when the third one comes out.
