I wanted to start a place where anyone can come and ask for a music recommendation, and either I or others could help you out. I am a big music person, I have over 10000 songs on my itunes, so I have a large library to recommend.....
Simply ask..... "I like BLANK, who else would I like?"
I or someone else would answer "Try this band, you will like them if you like BLANK"
Get the idea? Then once you've listened to the suggested artist, you can come back and tell us what you've thought
I hope this works, or you could just let this thread die.....

well it kind of. gave me jack johnson when i said i liked belle & sebastian. so i'm never going there again. lol nice idea though 1. Last weekend i saw Greenspace at this indie bar, really good I thought and kind of a cross between Sigur Ros and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Check em out! here2. I saw Smoosh support The Go! Team last week, they're two girls aged 12 and 14 on keys and drums and they deliver the kind of feelgood indie pop we all used to like before the killers sold out and ruined it for everyone. just bought their album off amazon. Don't have a link 3. InbetweenDays seem good although perhaps a bit same-y? Good stage presence live. Theyre sort of like a gravelly Bloc Party. here4. Last but not least is Paris Motel who also sound kind of like the YYYs / Belle & Seb. i'm into that whole sound at the moment. hereenjoy! |
