New month, new thread! I'm still listening to the LOTR: Fellowship soundtrack, but I've added Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and the new Metric album. Both are quite good, IMO. Also trying to decide on what else to spend my iTunes gift card on...

I am going to shock a lot of you here... This is going to be a short posting.
Mostly I have been listening to my huge list of podcasts and audiobooks.
The only music I have been listening to in any numbers is the whole collection of soundtracks from the Silent Hill games. With the movie coming out (and the trailer looking great) I was excited and started listening to Akira Yamaoka's music from the games...
Otherwise, it's been just hit random from time to time on my 250GB HD of music and see what surprises come out.

Ive been listening to some old Daphne Loves Derby stuff that I got bored of a few months back. It's really good for a non-big-name band

Interesting. I've never heard that one. (writes note to self)
Are you a big soundtrack buff?

This sounds dumb, but I've just been abusing the shuffle button on my iPod. I tend to listen to the same few things over and over again, so I'm discovering and re-discovering stuff through that.

February has been a bad month.
Therefore I have been listening to some Jeff Buckley, Bright Eyes, Death Cab For Cutie, God Speed You Black Emperor, Craig Armstrong, Skunk Anansie and some other music to mope to.
If Jay doesnt create another ad soon, with lyrics rhyming "hieroglyphics" with "spastics" then I dont know what I'll do...

I'm all about Soundtracks nowadays. A lot of my favorite bands are coming out with crap albums, and I'm really disapointed. I'm an editor, and I've been building my soundtrack arsenal. It's important for an editor to have a good library of soundtracks as temp music to throw over the scenes youre cutting. just to convey the emotion until the sound designer gets a hold of it.
So for the time being, my fav's would be:
1) Batman Begins [Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard] 2) Ocean's Twelve 3) King Kong 4) The Last Samurai 5) The Legend of Zorro
