I went to go see king kong a few days ago. (it's wierd, it was exacly 2 years before that when I saw RotK in the theaters) anyway it was a very good movie in my opinion. I give it....uh....3 1/2 stars. It does go to long with a couple special effects scenes, but I think the acting was pretty good. The costumes and scenery were very well done. I also LOVED the special effects. If you don't like alot of special effects, this is not your movie. anyway I recomend it, but it's no LotR.

I thought it was well done. As I put it---it's the ultimate giant movie, huge bugs, dinosaurs, bat things, Gorillas!!! Kept me at the edge of my seat.

It was really good, I liked it. I love Jack Black. Peter Jackson is the man, and King Kong is a great story. What more could you ask for.
3 and 3/4 stars
I had to get a tissue at the end of the movie.

aww....I almost cried. I don't usually cry at movies though, but I couldn't help it with RotK.
Yeah I like Jack Black too.....man he's odd.

There were a couple of times when I found myself clenching the chair - the bug scene and the Empire State Building - sweaty palms, the whole bit. Which does not happen often (except during a Lost finale, of course ;D). I also liked seeing Gary Hobson from Early Edition, a terrific show.
The most frequent complaint I hear is that it take too long for Kong to appear - but once he does, forget about it.
Jackson is a genius. He can keep making these 3 hour epics forever. But I hear his next project is The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold.

Really? Maybe we could discuss that one on the book thread you're going to start.
