Hey guys, I sent an email to Talkshoe about it crapping out towards the end of the Marathon cast. And this is what I write to them. If anyone wants to copy it go for it. Maybe if they get enough emails they will donate.
This is the email address that was in the reply address when I got an automated message.
"TalkShoe Support" support@talkshoe.com
Since Talkshoe died towards the end of The Marathon Podcast for Jay and Jack. Will Talkshoe make a donation to Autism Speaks? They were going to have a big guest on the show (Daniel Day Kim) which would have brought in more money for finding a cure for Autism.
You can send a donation through Paypal to the email lpdonate@gmail.com
or send a check to Autism Speaks, c/o Jay and Jack PO Box 40716 Raleigh, NC 27629
Thanks.

We got some people who sent copies of their complaint letters to Talkshoe to LPDonate@gmail.com. Here's what I think:
Let's start a campaign to pressure Talkshoe into having to donate money for Autism Speaks to make up for the loss of time and donations that the charity suffered as a result of THEIR continually technical issues.
Any blog post, comment you make on a website, email that you send to Talkshoe, etc. send the link/URL to LPDonate@gmail.com so we can keep track of the effort. Talkshoe backed down before when an angry blog post was made about them, this time money for an actual charity was at stake and it was THEIR FAULT.
Go team, go.

Can we make comments on itunes as they load them and maybe on the main page here as well? Lots of traffic on both places. Also on eveyon's myspace, facebook, livejournal, etc. Are those appropriate places?

Update on Talkshoe. I got a response today that the problem yesterday has been resolved. But I emailed back and asked if they would make a donation. Someone emailed me back and said Support could not help. But he did pass the suggestion on. I emailed back asking if I could get an email of the person or people that I could ask directly. Or at least when Talkshoe makes a decision if I could get an response back, so we can stop bad mouthing them. Below is my correspondence. TalkShoe Support <support@talkshoe.com> wrote: Hi,
We had an issue during this time that precluded the client from serving the correct streaming URL. Apologies for the inconvenience. Our engineers worked on this early today and identified the issue and resolved it.
Thank you for your suggestion.
Thanks! TalkShoe Support

But the real question is. Will Talkshoe make a donation to the organization below. To help make up for lost time and the money that would have been raised during that time.
Thank you, Jessica

That is a question the support folks cannot answer, nor a decision that can be made via this particular part of the organization. The request has been brought to the attention to others outside of support. Again, thank you for your suggestion.

Jessica,
It appears that our CEO tells me that we have donated to the cause.
Thank you!

Yeah they made a donation, but didn't apologize. I'm glad they donated, but an acknowledgement of WHY and a simply "We're sorry for the inconvenience, so we are donating to your cause" would have been great. I don't know, all they said in their email was, "We donated to your c harity. Thanks for using Talkshoe for such a good cause."

It would have been nice for them to send an appology, but the money they donated will mean a lot more and go farther.
What's the total so far? Or are you going to wait a few days and than give us a total after more money comes in?
