It was a nice email, but I highly doubt he'll write a follow-up. He was very nice with me the first time I emailed him, but then once he started calling, it was almost as though it were a chore. I think I was on the phone with him and explained the entire deal with him in all of 4 minutes and I was literally sitting on an airplane waiting for take off and could barely hear him. I kept telling him to call Jay or Jack and giving him their numbers, but it was as though he didn't want to put the extra work in to call. Finally I started telling him I didn't know the answers to questions (that I did know lol) in an attempt to get him to call Jay. He did and I think Jay said he barely asked anything other than what his relationship to Jack was. Then he called back Tuesday morning at like 8:30am to confirm their relationship, which again was weird since the article was supposed to be about plugging event and getting people to come skate at the IcePlex during the Skate-a-Thon. The article came out two days later. I was really sad when I read the article because - as we've pointed out - he had SO much potential on what to write about and he blew it. It wasn't even a big sensationalist story that would garner publicity for trashing. I was just taken aback at how much he seemed to be mocking something so great. Oh well. I sent him a nice email this morning, thanking him for his time and pointing out how well it went, for two no-names from Raleigh to raise so much money for a cause in this economy. Then I stole Dani's idea and asked him if he wanted to write a follow-up. I doubt it, but we'll see.
Okay, I have a crapload of stuff to do today meh. I didn't get that job that they basically told me that I was going to get after I interviewed, so it's back on the horse again. Playtime and mourning time has to be over!

I don't really expect him to write a follow up, I just wanted him to know as a fan I thought the article sounded like crap. My favorite part of the email was where i was like LOOK HOW MUCH MONEY WE RAISED YAY.
Hopefully someone has a picture of the sweet cake, because that was a total lie...Also sorry, I didn't say anything about how great Ed was, I didn't catch his segment.
I'll be sharing my response, if I ever get one. If I don't get one, it was worth a try and it made me feel better. =D

Yeah, Dani, the biggest problem I see with the e-mail is that you mention no names like Jorge Garcia, but forget to mention actual celebrities that showed up in person, like the hosts of Trivia War Podcast and Media Junkyard. And how about Boston's favorite son, Chris?

Good evening. Hope everyone is recovering from the weekend. I plan to this coming weekend. Right now I am at 9.5 hours at work with about 5 more to go on a second REALLY long work day. Luckily the days will start to get shorter after today. Only 13 hours tomorrow and by Friday, a mere 9!  |
