Sad news. My sister's friend's father died yesterday from cancer. Her mother died from cancer about 9 or 10 years ago too. He never told her or her younger sister how bad his cancer was. The rest of of their family lives a few hours away, but randomly showed up the night before he died, so they must have known how bad it was. Now they're 22 & 18 years old without parents. How sad is that? Puts the little stupid petty things we get mad about in perspective when you hear about things so close to home being so tragic.

Thanks guys for all the prayers for them. My sister's been over there since this afternoon, so we're waiting for her to come back with a report so to speak. Something so awful as that really makes you feel selfish for getting so bent out of shape over the stupid stuff that essentially doesn't matter.
On a happier note, "The Office" tonight was hilarious!

Thankfully (I think) everyone involved is over 18, so no one has to worry about foster care.

Or are six inches of snow normal for one storm? I only ask because when it snows where my sister lives (in Texas), everything closes if they get enough to make a footprint, while up here (in Ohio) it just makes everyone's commute a little longer.
