i'm the kind of person that when someone is mad at me, i want to know why, so i can stop doing it. I WAS NOT BEGGING FOR KARMA!!! That's what I want but nobody wants to tell me. I wasn't begging for it either.  |

and you guys aren't "questioning other's motives in the karma area?"
what nobody is seeming to get is:
by posting in the karma section at all, negative or positive, you are contributing to the "corruption" of the karma system!
we get it. it ticks you off when we give free karma, and complain about getting smote. why don't you just ignore us? if you ignore the section, you will never have that problem. it's a win-win situation. that way, you don't hear us complaining, and we don't hear you. what is the problem with that proposition.
if you have any objections, let me know. otherwise, stop posting negative comments.

Sorry man. Most of the people who you are calling out and telling to keep quiet are members who have been around for a long time. In fact, most everyone who has posted something against your beliefs has been here since before the summer hiatus.
I'm not trying to say we are superior or anything like that, but when a bunch of members from the same "time period" are all agreeing on the same issue, that should send a message...

Think about it this way: say your back itches, it might only be a tiny spot that itches but it still is annoying, you know its there, so you scratch it. What I don't like is when new people complain about getting smote. People don't really know them too well so they are more inclined to smite them, and then we are supposed to feel bad for them or something? We were all noobs once, we know it takes time to EARN karma, we don't like it when people complain and get handed karma like it is a get well lollypop. Try to get to know people, contribute to the forum, then you will likely get karma, the right way. |

but sometimes, when you have a mosquito bite, it may itch a bit, but if you ignore it, the itch goes away. however, if you scratch it, you kinda have to scratch it again and again, until it starts to bleed, and then your shirt is covered in blood, your arm hurts, and before you know it, you have a huge mess on your hands.

I don't want to argue further since I've already got Malcolm angry at me. I didn't take my stance to make enemies - I just wanted to show my point. Honestly, I didn't think that some people would take this so hard.
I still stand right where I did on the issue though.
