... not meaning to sound like a negative nacny here... but can someone please tell me the point of this thread.... karma is supposed to mean something... I like to think that I have earned any karma points I have, by helping someone out, making then feel good, or giving a valuable contribution to a conversation... here people are getting karma for just being able to post a message...

in my view this really defeats the whole purpose of the system. Things like mindless exalting and people constantly complaining when they have been smote (and are then exalted tenfold because of this, which again defeats the object) makes me want to do away with the whole karma thing all together...

please don't exalt me for this because I posted above you....

This board is just for fun, and to be nice and kind and stuff. I don't think karma is everything either. It's just something nice to do for somebody. It's like when you give someone a b-day present. Why are you give them a gift for there b-day? They haven't done anything, just lived another year.
