So, looks like J.J. Abrams has a new film coming out next year. Code name is cloverleaf. There was a trailer for it with Transformers in theater. So, a couple websites out there tied to this. www.ethanhaaswasright.com/and www.1-18-08.com/The first one has some puzzles and video on it, ala TLE, so I thought I'd post this thread to start discussion about solving th puzzles. The puzzlesI'm on #2 right now. #1 was easy: just hit the triangles in the same order #2 I'm working on matching up the horizontal ring characters to the vertical ring characters doesn't seem to work.
The stars:seem to be for each video, plus an e-mail address to e-mail about cloverleaf, and a cryptic sequence of symbols. The symbols:I think are a key with each symbol being a letter of the alphabet, probably in order - going back to check puzzle #1 to see what word might have been spelled out...  |

So, sending an e-mail ala the star gets you this message:
If you're receiving this auto-response message it means that I've gone into hiding. You should be careful now, too. They're likely to start coming after all of us in an attempt to keep the balance of power in their favor. But remember, as our numbers increase as a group, the weaker they'll become.
As you recruit new people to our cause, you might need to share this message as guidance for how to navigate the 5 locks to the key code...
1) The first lock will test your memory. Follow the trail of light and sound, but be careful -- one wrong move will send you back to the beginning.
2) For the second lock, you may need to look to the stars. They will help you find HAAS who will lead your way.
3) The third lock will require you to extinguish all lights but one. Only with one light remaining will you be able to proceed.
4) The fourth lock will let you move all 4 pieces through the control of one. However, unless the three key pieces are simultaneously placed into position, you will not be granted access.
5) The fifth lock will be the toughest. Seek help again from the stars to reveal your key and the message that you must decode. The two working together will open the way.

third one's easy. Got it right on the second try. You drag a light over another one into a non-lit one (in a straight line), and you get rid of the one you dragged it over.
Just keep doing it 'till you get it right
I'm really stuck on the fourth one. You move the circle with arrow keys and all the 3 other circles move in a different direction. You need to get them over the dark round tiles.

Yeah - I've been messing for a while with the 4th one - almost there I think. The key I think is looking at the different balls and where they would need to be one step prior to completion. Given that it helps you figure out which ball goes to what slot.

Well I took some time last night and took stills of the trailer. Many things are not my finding but most people on these board have not seen. Notice the sign is made up of pictures.  Here I was just looking at the background items.  Notice interesting pictures on left and can some one help me figure out what that is on the right.  Just checking out his sweet xbox360 set up.  Numbers on bottom corner of the TV.  His Slusho shirt.  The graffiti on the wall.  Man behind the camera.  Weird circle on the back of the guys back.  Taking a look the surrounding areas.  Notice they are all looking different ways.  The street sign shows that they are at 401 Broadway.  The license plate says "ABZ-3293"  Notice Lady Liberty's head is ripped and comes from the back to the front.  Scene from Alias showing Slusho.  Picture from 1-18-08.com  Notice the Slusho guy again and the girl with the 9 on her shirt on the right.  |

He has been heading a full on video blogging of all discoveries and myths of 1/18/08. yeah unfortunately its probably not connected but still interesting like JLSK said. JJ Abrams said that he did create an unknown number of websites for this film but that the only one that the fans have found is the 1-18-08.com...so some people are wondering if the slusho website is for the film or maybe JJ doesnt know that it was found yet cool screencaps. i wonder how much this film is going to be like lost in the sense that there will be hidden clues in the background, like numbers and pictures and stuff |
