Hmm..ok so nothing w/ the sign language.
I went back to ROT to look at the new post...well they have INVESTIGATIONS in caps, but that could just be for emphasis..then DSLerator said he's found out a few things. Does anyone think "investigations" could be a code of some sort? |

Well - slight update: www.flickr.com/photos/trevtrevtrevor/ which was tied to the nanite glyph now has the chocolates glyph posted and the same phone number to call. I was thinking maybe sod off was an acronym for something to search for on youtube, but I couldn't find much. Also, it seems like the sign language thing may not totally be a dead end - hard to tell - tawpdog over at TLEC has slowed down the video to better make out the signing and is saying there is something about Apollo in the signing, but honestly who knows until someone who really reads sign language looks at it and we get a number of opinions to make sure. |

From the latest Ninja posting: Retrievers of Truth updated today for the first time in ages, with a new thread - apparently there's something we'll see, but we've got to follow their lead. Head on over and login - Steinbeck - read the first thread and follow DSL's thoughts through to what may be a glyph given through sign language... (A LOT of people are hard at work on this as I type, so I don't want to name anyone in case I give wrong credit before we bust it open.) So somehow he is connecting the ROT posting to the chocolates video - I guess maybe the verizon chocolates ad? The main thing that was found in the People magazine that seemed relevant was a hidden link in the Jeep ad to LYCGY.com - which is let yourcompassguideyou.com - nothing found there. Yeah - I think you are right on what it goes after...
I'm not absolutely sure that he is saying "failed" - it's what would make sense, but is sounds more like "We all know what happened. The DHARMA initiative Daeld" - that said - I think it is just his accent.

more on the current translation of the signing in the chocolate video - (I was definitely wrong about it just being the same as the voice over. Hanso found something important but Mittleverk didn't like it (or didn't like the competition). There was a big struggle. Hanso disappeared with (something...scientists/research maybe?). He found a new place and gave "everything" (gave away everything?) in order to save people.

seems to be a fairly final translation:
"I am Mel, friend of Rachel. (Friend of Rachel - I sell Apollo Candy.) Apollo Candy conned Mittlewerk (or vice-versa) into having chemists run tests on [what we lovingly call the fingerspelling of doom - no one can clearly see this word/words]. Hackett found something important, but Mittlewerk wouldn't allow the results to be given to the competition (he hates the competition), they had a huge argument, and Hackett took [something, more unclear fingerspelling] and found a new person to give the information to, who will distribute it. (something about giving away, reference to apollo bar giveaway?) I have to warn (help) people."

Interesting sign language message. Another mention of Hackett. Maybe there'll be a glyph on the Apollo Candy bar wrappers. Every city on the tour will have a different glyph..hmm.
