I just wanted to clarify if it was possible that Kate could be standing trial for the murder of her step-father in the spoiler flash-forward. On the podcast, it was assumed (unless I heard incorrectly) that she would be standing trial for something else. But it is possible that she never stood trial for the step-father murder and that's why she was on the run. It is also possible the federal marshall was bringing her back to stand trial. I think I may have misheard this part of the podcast, but if I didn't there it is anyway.

Just as an fyi, don't post spoilers in the title. It makes people mad.

That's exactly what I thought as I listened to the podcast. She doesn't need to be on trial for something new at all. Now that they are home, she is finally on trial for her old crimes, and jack is there to testify to the good she did while on the island or something.
