spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2007/12/secrets-of-lost.htmlDark UFO is on a roll! really interesting - reveals
1. Walt was indeed the one typing to Michael on the terminal - but questions whether he did it on his own or was being told what to type
2. They play with the idea that Walt just sent the message pyschically (this makes me think that this is not the case - just teasing us)
really just a teaser for the blue ray version of S3 dvd release... JLSK

And posted on the ODI - Here is a list of things confirmed on the Season 3 Blue Ray edition - some interesting things:
LOST Answers from Season 3 Blu-Ray DVD Set
* Desmond David Hume is the reason why Flight 815 crashed on the island. By not pushing the button, he allowed the electromagnetic forces to rip apart the plane. * "Pushing the button was not a psychological experiment." It was a real job. Look at what happened when the button wasn't pushed! * Electromagnetism is on the island. The Dharma Initiative drilled into it and built the Swan Station on top in order to keep it at bay. The electromagnetism on the island will not lead to a black hole that will destroy the planet. * We haven't seen the last supply drop. How it's being dropped on the island is a mystery. Keep in mind that just because the package had a parachute attached does not mean it was actually "dropped." * Walt does have psychic powers - not clear how powerful he is. The show will address his growth spurt. * There are a few questions to ask yourself in regards to Walt: o Did the Island draw Walt 'cause of his powers? o Is he there for a greater purpose? Was he destined to go to the island? o Was it preordained? * That was definitely Walt on the computer talking to Michael. Did he actually physically type is a whole other story. Maybe he used his psychic powers to send the message. * Walt has definitely spent some time in Room 23. That was the room Miss Klugh threatened to take him back to. It is not a good place to go. Dharma used it as part of a psychological experiment; The Others use it to as a punishment whenever someone wasn't conforming to the norm. The video from Room 23 was included and man, it was good. Check out some of the terms that flashed across the screen: o The extinction of desire is Nirvana o Be the Awakened One * The Polar Bears were brought to the island by the Dharma Initiative. After The Others took over, the bears were released. They swam to the other island and eventually mated. Polar Bears are still on the island. * Mittelos Bioscience is a front that The Others use in the real world. It is also an anagram for "lost time." The Others can go back and forth from the island to the outside world. The sub is only part of how The Others travel to and from the island. The show will explore the notion of time on the island and how The Others travel. * Charlie Pace is dead. * Christian Shephard is dead. * Kelvin is dead. * Nikki and Paulo are dead. * Radzinski is dead. * Mikhail is dead. * "Just because you're dead doesn't mean you can't reappear" * Hostiles = Others is true. The Others are also comprised of other groups that were on the Island. * Locke's paralysis was healed by the island. It is not clear if it's permanent. * Marvin Candle, Mark Wickmund, and Edgar Halowax are triplets. No, wait. They're the same person. We will get to know more about him. * There was a real Henry Gale. He was a balloonist. He was not a member of The Dharma Initiative. We will find out why he was in the vicinity of the island. * There's only one Richard Alpert. He just has good skin. "Age is all relative on the island." * Penny established the listening station to find Desmond. We will find out just how Penny knew there was an island to look for. * The Others are responsible for bringing Anthony Cooper to the island. Drugs + Accident = arriving on the island. "There are other nefarious things that The Others are doing in the real world, but we can't tell you about that yet." * Each station has its own orientation video. There could be more than 6 hatches/films. * The hieroglyphics on the timer meant "Underworld." Dharma gave a shout-out to those that were on the island before, "props to the Egyptians. That sort of thing." * The Blast Door map was incredibly accurate. However, there were two spectrums to the map, and we only saw one. The question mark is the Pearl Station, and the various references to the monster and its travel patterns were "pretty definitive."

And here is an additional summary from DarkUFO, that someone sent in. Similar but some slight differences that are significant: - Walt definitely has psychic powers - Dharma drilled, hit area with large electromagnetic build up. Swan was built over this area to act as a sort of cork. - Desmond is solely responsible for the plane crash. - Pushing the button may indeed save the world. There is a reason they didn't use the fail safe key originally and continued pushing the button. - Penny is searching for the Island and when Locke didn't push the button her team saw the magnetic disturbance and found location of island. How did Penny even know there was an island to look for? We will find out in future. Since this development there is now a freighter off the island that Penny doesn't know about. - The island cured Locke of his paralysis but is it permanent? - Charlie, Nikki, Paulo, Shepard, Mikhail are all DEAD. - Others use Mittelos Bioscience as a cover when off island. It is not a real company. - Mittelos is acronym for lost time and we will find out how it relates to the others time off the island in the future. - The others do not just get in the submarine and travel off the island. The submarine is only a part of the mechanism that allows the others to travel off the island. - Joked that Marvin Candle, Mark Wickmund, and Edgar Halowax are different people. They are probably same person, but orientation films recorded at different times. In one orientation video he has a fake hand. We will find out more about him and what happened to his hand in the future. - Island has a very long history. Four toed statue may have something to do with ancient egyptians. Hieroglyphs in countdown timer in Swan a sort of tribute to them. - Richard Alpert could be 601 years old, but definitely not a day over 602 they joked. Island may effect cells and slow down aging process. - Dharma brought polar bears to island. Set free when hostiles took over and they bred.

So, the one theme I find very interesting - How things/people move between off and on island: - We haven't seen the last supply drop. How it's being dropped on the island is a mystery. Keep in mind that just because the package had a parachute attached does not mean it was actually "dropped." - Mittelos Bioscience is a front that The Others use in the real world. It is also an anagram for "lost time." The Others can go back and forth from the island to the outside world. The sub is only part of how The Others travel to and from the island. The show will explore the notion of time on the island and how The Others travel. - The others do not just get in the submarine and travel off the island. The submarine is only a part of the mechanism that allows the others to travel off the island.
It makes me wonder if what was turned off at the looking glass by charlie was more than just a communication jamming device, but something that controlled this mechanism for access to the island.

Excellent stuff JLSK! The thing that really drew me to LOST is character developement. It is awesome to watch how the roles are fleshed out. I just watched the commentary on I DO, and Evangeline Lilly gave a great insight on how she had to handle three diffrerent love relationships in that episode, the one with her husband, with Sawyer and with Jack. She also spoke about how she handles reading the scripts. Josh Holloway and Carlton Cuse discussed an interesting thing concerning Sawyer that although certainly not a spoiler, I will spoiler tag if you prefer to hear it first hand. Holloway basically joked about how he was such a great shot in the pilot able to shoot a charging polar bear. Yet in the next episode when he tries to help the marshall end his suffering by shooting him the heart he misses and shoots him in the lung. Cuse said that was what triggered the idea that Sawyer was far sighted and needed glasses.

Some more great stuff coming out from the S3 DVD - Dark UFO posted a summary of interesting new info from the Man behind the Curtain commentary: from: spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2007/12/man-behind-curtain-commentary-spoilers.html 0 Horace Goodspeed and Olivia are important to the DHARMA story, and we can expect to see more of them in the future. 1 Richard Alpert was conceived as the "Panchen Lama" of the Others. (That would make Ben the "Dalai Lama.") Alpert's role is to pick the next Dalai. Ben's role would be to pick the next Panchen, should the need arise. This keeps the two in a sort of balanced power relationship. They are allies, yet they have some measure of control over the other should one get out of hand. 2 Ben uses the volcanic ash circle to contain Jacob. Jacob also has the means to control Ben to an extent. 3 Speaking of volcanoes, there is one on the island. Damon says it will be of "seismic importance" (pun very much intended.) 4 The Looking Glass Station is a communications station. Its role is to emit the ping that guides the submarine to the island. 5 The DHARMA purge was not the first purge by the Others. There have been many groups on the island, and the Others have purged many times before. Remnants of all the groups make up the Others we see today. Damon likens this to the United States, which is a nation of immigrants from many cultures who have assimilated into a common culture. 6 Ben set Locke up to kill Cooper as a test...he was certain Locke would fail as he has not shown himself to be capable of murder. There is probably no great mythological reason for killing one's father; Alpert helps Locke find a way to kill Cooper because it is the only way to break Ben's manipulation. 7 Damon suggests that Ben's penchant for numbering his rabbits "probably has something to do with fertility experiments." 8 Room 23 is located on the Hydra island, which is designated for zoological experiments. Has it only been used on humans, or was it previously used on other animals? And if so, what animals? (Calling all Joop fans!) 9 Annie is an extremely important part of the island's backstory, and it is a planned chapter to come. Annie is more important than the Goodspeeds or the volcano. 10 The mechanism for the purge at the Barracks was different from the mechanism Ben uses in the van (the canister of gas). The gas canister was added in post-production to give Ben a more active role in his father's death. But the original plan was for something to happen more or less island wide at 4 PM. 11 We have not seen Ben's motivation for his role in the purge, but we will.
I thought #1 was interesting in revealing more about the relatioship between Ben and Alpert.

Some more from the blue ray: spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2007/12/blu-ray-access-granted-blast-door-map.htmlSpecifically talking about Radinsky and the blast door map. Strongly implies to me that the monster uses the underground passages on the island to get around - tying the hatch map with the map of the com station (forget name), it is clear there are these underground passages from most if not all the hatches.

I think that theory is sound and goes back to S1 when Locke is nearly yanked underground...as well, iirc those blueprints Sayid nabbed showed tunnels leading from the barracks under the fence...
