- Regarding the possiblity of his character dying. He is fine with that. Values the relationships he's made on the island much more than the role. Looks forward to the next thing and showing his acting range. Doesn't want to be type cast. Talks about relationship with Iam. Talks about music and what he likes. Lost End Date
- No podcast after the finale.
- Huge week for D&C - very happy about the end of the show and how that is all going to happen.
- They feel it will keep the show relevant all the way to the end.
- 48 epipsodes more - 3 seasons of 16 each through 2010
- Felt like the rest of the plot arc fits very nicely into three pods.
- Kudos to the abc executives who allowed this.
- What does this mean for the zombie season if there is no 7th season? Will have to negotiate a new contract for the zombie season - we'll see... maybe a zombie featurette.
Finale
- saw the full run of the finale just the day before.
- have to lock it down by Sunday this week.
- Still have a lot of work to do on the robots.
Ben and DHARMA - Man Behind the Curtain
- very significant advancement of the island mythology because Jacob was manifest - admit there was something shown. Mention Locke in a wig, Christian Shepherd. Very strange eye ball. Written one way then it is edited - wanted this to be a tivo moment. Will not discuss Jacob in detail because it will spoil upcoming episodes.
- Jacob will be dealt with much more in season 4 - rest of this season will focus on the people we already know.
- Ben's flashback tells a lot - Ben lied abou being born on the island, learn Other's purged DHARMA, that Ben ***and other***s from DHARMA were not purged and joined the Others.
- Hostiles definitely = Others.
- John takes a bullet in the gut!!! He didn't look dead at the end of the episode. Not likely dead - don't bet on it.
- Ben took Locke out to Jacob as a lithmus test. Ben wanted to see how special really was. Whether he could see or hear Jacob was the test. When Ben realized that Locke could do that, suddently Locke was a major threat to Ben's primacy. So Ben shoots him. Doesn't want his leadership challenged.
Questions
- Each season is specifically designed to have very specific arcing themes. In season 3 the main charcter introduction was Juliet and allowing her to drive plots - each season is designed like a book - season 3 is about the Others. Season 1 - they are stuck and what the island is and who each other. Season 2 is the hatch. Finale will set up for season 4 theme.
- Like Walt's comic book, is Jacob a trapped alien? He is not an alien, but doging the trapped/imprisoned part.
- Seems like there were a lot of DHARMA back history missing - like Candle, etc. Is that it? Will be get more? Yes it will be gone into more. We will see how Candle lost his hand and Mondeux lost his arm. Season 4 is all about lost limbs....
- Jacob Confined. Is Jacob confined by Ben? The powder in a line? Powder in the chair? Confine Jacob? Explanations - the powder combined with something else might actually confine Jacob. Option 2 it is the volcanic ash from the volcano mentioned and the ash happened to fall in a very symetrical pattern around the Jacob building..
- What is up with Annie? Where was she in the purge. She is a chapter in Ben's story to be delved into later. (does this mean Ben doesn't die any itme soon?)
- Where is the DHARMA shark? What is up with it? Jacob? Invisible? Are they copying heroes? We will see DHARMA shark again. DHARMA sharks name is Jim or possibly Ezra James Sharkiten. Will have a flashback. OK Show jumped the shark now... Wait until we find out how Ezra got his tattoos from Biling!!!
- Daddy Issues theme - what is going on? Do D&C have issues with fathers??? No easy answer to the question. Everyone interesting has Daddy issues???.
