Locke's pre-existing condition - gave up a kidney to his father... He was shot where his kidney had been??? The gun shot seemed way too high to have potentially hit a kidney though....

Yea, I remember telling my brother: That wound isn't fatal, he doesn't have a kidney! And if you go back to Deus Ex Machina, he is holding HIS left side when getting out of bed at the hospital! Wow, talk about irony!
