Not sure how much this impacts LOST, but...
the actress who plays Penny Widmore (Sonya Walger) is currently in the broadway show Frost/Nixon. It started previews March 31, which mean she had to have been full-time with that show since the beginning of March. The show has a limited run, but is running 8 performances a week thru the end of august.
This means that it is pretty unlikely she would have been able to film anything for lost for the remainder of this year, unless it were filmed month ahead....
