These guys are blind. Kate is so ready to go down. And they got it wrong, its five people, not Losties. SO it is a mixture of Losties and Others, with one side getting more hurt than the other.
My theory:
Losties: Kate, Sun's baby, background character. Others: Mikhail, Tom.

i'm pretty sure ABC would get rid of Claire & Jack before they ever think to kill of Kate

Well, I hope that Cuseloff will tell ABC to kiss their rosy *** if they want to kill Kate. The way I see it, if it furthers the story, which in my skull, it could, then do it. Just cause she is hot, and in my opinion, she isn't as hot as certain people *cough*Jay and Jack*cough believe she is, doesn't mean that she gets a free pass through the entire series. Sorry for that rant.
And what could they possibly do with her flashbacks anymore? Plus, if she dies, Sawyer will turn completely to his dark side, and to tell you the truth, we haven't even begun to see his dark side. So, I think after the events of The Brig, he will begin to fall into that side, and then Kate gets what she gets, and Sawyer becomes completely bad. That would make up for a great story, and would kinda follow Lord of the Flies, the biggest influence of Lost, in terms of two groups splitting up, one with Jack, the good people, and one with Sawyer, the bad and vicious people. How awesome would that be, and how much political/social undertones would that come up with?
Anyway, I am not saying that I want her to die, but if it furthers the storyline, then even Jack, the safest one in my opinion, has the potential to die.

i agree with you on most of that... but in reading the article i agree with the statement that kate is jack/locke/sayid/sawyer all rolled in one...
that's why i can't see lost killing her off
her character is easily changable...
and do we yet know why she went to australia in the first place?

No, I guess not. It is just, out of the 4 main characters (Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Kate), it would go like this as most likely to go in my opinion.
Most likely: Kate Next likely: Sawyer Next likely: Jack Least likely: Locke
But that is just what I think.

Yeah, and if Sawyer dies, then the one camp would be led by Jack, and one by Locke
