My crackpot theory before today (October the 13, was that John Locke would come out with supper powers. Yesterday I called in my theory to Jay and Jack and as strangely as it seems, my theory has been somewhat supported on spoilerfix.com. Check it out.

Hi, Just so no one kills you like they almost dd me lol, renimber to keep spoilers out of titles. Also,t here's a neat little trick you can use to tag spoilers. Every spoiler has to be writen in your textbox. Select the text that is a spoiler, and click the two red !! points above the smielys. The rule of thumb is that a spoiler is basicly anything that hasn't hapened yet. Is it kind of dumb to go to the spoiler dectiona nd not expect spoilers? Yes, but it has happened ;D Anyway, back to your post. Thanks so much for posting that. Hey, didn't some other part of it say that the dude with the super powers would have some conectio n to someone in Heroes? Well, share the same super power? Maybe the guy (who is most likly Locke) can read minds. That'd be sweet. |

Here is the text from spoilerfix:
new 10/13 - According to my sources, at least one of the three button men will return to action transformed in such a way that gives him something in common with one of the heroes over on Heroes. Source: Entertainment Weekly.
From Heros, this is what I remember are the powers:
1. invincible - cheerleader
2. bends time/space - japanese Hiro
3. mirror alter ego - the mom
4. can hear other's thoughts - the lost flight 815 pilot (Matt Parkman)
5. can fly - politician brother - possibly both brothers
6. personal theory - the younger brother is an empath that can use others powers when he is near them.
7. paints the future - the druggy painter
8. The evil father???
I have to agree that hearing others thoughts would make a huge amount of sense. It might also explain the other's ability to seemingly know everything about the losties...

The ability to read minds also expLAins how the Munster reads Eko's mind, or how the island can make super kate see a horse (I still think that was the smoke Munster taking ona different form(. It would also help the others, if they are whisperings, thus giving them super powers. The children ahve super cool powers, or so we can assume. If the others are in fact contraling some of the dreams of the people on the island (ie. Eko sees Yemi, the others want to show John the hearl so he does not push the button. Ie. We hear whispers in Charlie's dream. We also hear them over the intercom in "A tale of two cities",a nd during the ambush, thus proving that the others are contraling some)
Of course, maybe they wern't contraling that whole dream with Claire. But whatever lol. I think tis bery psoible characters might bevome superhuman. In fact, what if that has somthing to do with the sickness? The people that got the sickness, got powers, but some died or were killed because they could not contral? them?
I mean for the super power of mind reading for my man Locke. |

Mpt tp ,emtopm tje fact tjat the others don't seem to be harmed by eletric serges, and if we can all look back upon Ethan. Ethan is the proof taht some Others have special powers or somthing. And did you see how JUliet just nailed Jack in the face? Come on, thats not normal lol. |

But we should make one thing clear. Eko, Locke, and Desmond should be dead. It should've been the end, as the promo said. So the question is...how did they survive that? i think thats going to be a huge arc this season (or a arc...if they don't ask it...I might just go crazy lol) |

Yeah, well it all depends on the circumstances of what happens. What condition is the hatch in? What exactly happened? This is what I've been waiting for all season so it should be good. The flashback should also be good although they said the reason why Locke is paralyzed is pretty mundane. i Think though that whatever happened to him will be related to his super power. |

No Rose is not a goner. If Locke can still walk, how can Rose get cancer again?
Locke with healing powers? Well, on this island we see dead people, smmoke munsters, crazy qhispers, Bens, Others, cool dart guns, and Hatches meant to save the world, plus air drops. Plus an invisible island, and these freaky people who dress up like hillbillys for funa nd like to steal babies and just ignore them later,, who can be anywhere at anytime....not to mention the fact that Desmond, Locke, and Eko should've blown up.....Locke with super powers? Why not? Lets face it...stranger things have happened ;D |

Another option:
One other option is that he has some sort of control over time, like Hiro. The reason this is compelling is that someone theorized in the theories area that the reason Locke cannot seem to talk at the beginning of tonight's episode is because the white/purple light shifted Locke slightly out of our time frame somehow and that he cannot be heard even though he can talk.
That would be quite a bizarre twist, but a really compelling one. Do I see it happening though? no - a little too sci-fi even for lost I think...

I'm not really into the too sci- fi Lost . . . I mean more then it is. I hope the supoer power is more . .. .natural? I don't watch Heros so I don't know what power it oculd be reffering to. This spoiler is definetly an interesting one. Guess we'll find out tonight. |
