and while we've seen a character with the last name Inman in the military...the first name was not Kelvin. So, using a different name? Another twin theory? It gets interesting.... FYI - Clancy Brown played Joe Inman in the episode "One of Them" www.imdb.com/name/nm0000317/and that's the man in the pic in the beginning of this thread People on LOST use pseudonyms a lot. Wouldn't be the first time, look at Kate, Christian, Sawyer, and Ana

I agree, but they usually change more than just the first name. Especially since the military is going to have good records, mostly by last name (heck, the last name is put on uniforms in the army). Seems like he should have changed more than just the first name.
That's why I think the twin theory here might be strongest

He was also in Shawshank Redemption as a cop. And I think Green Mile also as a cop. He is an awesome actor. Glad to see he was on the episode yesterday.

I think he probably used a generic pseudonym when he was in the CIA. Although the twin theory is interesting...I find it more intriguing that he wound up on the same island as Sayid, and I wished they had met (and who knows? Perhaps he is still out there).

I'm going with Kelvin is Joe Inman's twin...the twin theory has to pay off sometime, right? But on the official podcast, they said Kelvin and Joe were the same guys...They didn't want to give away the game by revealing his true given name, so they went with Joe.

Inman or Corporal Inman, or whatever...

In the episode when Desmond was following Kelvin out of the hatch, Kelvin did tell him that he used to be a "spook" so knew he was following him. Maybe he did the rounds in the military.
