Any idea? I know I've done it once before, but I couldn't find a "log in" tag anywhere.

Just try to post a comment on the main site. Then hover of the words "logged in" and click on the button.

Do you mean to leave a show comment on the main page? When you click on the comments and the bottom says you must be logged in to leave a comment, put your cursor on "logged in" and click (its a link). That will take you to the login/register page. You now have to register to leave a comment.
