Do you think I should just vote the once? I'd hate to think I was depriving them of votes! I assumed the IP checking would be automatic when I verified the e-mails... I asked them what the deal is ...
No answer yet. Still no answer. Maybe someone else should ask too.

Well it is a legitimate question. You have households with multiple fans - including cats - and only one computer. Why should they be penalized?

Shin - I chatted with Jordache about that yesterday - she has a Hotmail account - she e-mailed the Podcast Awards people about it. For some reason Hotmail is blocking the "confirmation e-mails" - but the votes are being counted.

I just posted this in another thread....my hotmail is NOT sending the verification email...so I'm glad that they are being counted.

I just used to different accounts.....from the same computer...NOT hotmail accounts...and I only received one verification email....so my guess....one vote from one computer is all you get

I still got no answer on my e-mail. Maybe someone else can enquire about the number of votes per IP, too? Ok, got my answer some hours ago.
Here's what I wrote:
The past days we both voted at home from the same computer. Does it mean that only one of our votes is actually counting? Or none of them at all as we "violated" the rules?
Todd's answer:Only 1 will be counted

What a ripoff! I say we rebel! Hack the site! Stuff the ballots! Then run in circles and whoop like Indians!

well, they kinda have to do that. its invredibly easy to make a bot that would just create email accounts, vote, verify, and repeat. people think its hard, but all it would require is a few pages of code to place the clicks and textboxes. MegaloBrainiac could easily rig one up, his exalt-o-meter is more complicated. only 1 vote per computer is the best way to stop bots (tho its not full-proof cuz some providers such as AOL give you a new ip every time you connect)
