Looks like the Season 2 release has been pushed back from September 5th to October 3rd - RATS!!
One of the cool things about the Season 1 DVD's coming out just before Season 2 was that I could watch the whole season and get caught up on things I missed the 1st time around.
Just wondering if this means they might be pushing back the beginning of Season 3 - hmmmmmmm.

Yea I think so, because i think they were going to start it later in october so we should still have a couple weeks to take a crash course ;D

I got the DVD release date from Lost-media.com - I am not sure about the later start for the season - other than I know it was mentioned as a possibility during the last long hiatus because of all the complaints. Personally - my only real complaint is that they kept showing Season 1 episodes - it kind of didn't make sense to me. I mean if you hadn't seen season 1 by that point - you might as well not have been watching in the 1st place. I think the "October Plan" called for an 8-8-8 air schedule - and assuming it starts on October 25th and the 1st break doesn't happen until after the December 13th episode - then nothing until January 19 and running until after the March 9th episode - break again until April 6 and run until the end - May 25. Basically there would be 2 breaks - one of 4 weeks and the other of 3 weeks. Not too bad. And I am sure during at least one of those breaks - we'll get another clip show - if not 2. This is all speculation on my part - I have no special connections to anyone on LOST -

i read the following from TheDigitalBits.com
Lost: The Complete Second Season - The Extended Experience (due 10/3, SRP $59.99) will be a 7-disc box set including all of the season's episodes, along with the Lost Connections interactive documentary, The Lost Flashbacks (unseen footage on the characters' backgrounds), 3 featurettes (Lost: On Location, Secrets of the Hatch and Fire and Water: Anatomy of an Episode), audio commentaries, bloopers, deleted scenes and more.

I hope the new DVD set is more cryptic. The first season has a few hidden features on some of the discs, but I want more! I like how on one of the discs where the menu is the watercraft hanging from the cliff. If you wait long enough, the plane falls off the cliff, it's awesome! And in another one, you can hear the munster stomping around. I want more of that stuff!

Perhaps the producers got their way, and will be presenting LOST in 3 acts next year. They said that they'd have to start later
