Hey guys, I posted a theory earlier today and would love people to comment on it. The balloon can be patch up and offers a whole new direction to the show. Indeed the only way is up. ;D Find my theory under 'Not in Kansas anymore: possible ending'

I think that would be pretty interesting. But don't hot air balloons run on gas?

Henry said that it ran on helium and heat (or gas- whatever). Where are they getting either? I think it's going to be hard for anyone to get away from the island considering it sucked down a freaking airplane. Michael and Sawyer washed up to shore after their raft being blown up. Jin floated back to shore. The balloon obviously got pulled down somehow. I doubt that thing will be resurrected.

Okay, fair enough. Gas is a requirement. However, if they can just fathom up a pregnancy test then while can't the new hatch have gas? Laughing gas, used by dentists, is nitruse oxide; nitro. Yeah, the stuff they have in Burnout. Sayid can fix anything. You can just run a balloon on hot day if you are not going to high. Jack is full of hot air.
Oh, and Officialben, I don't think you read the theory I wrote so don't pass judgement until you know what I am proposing. Even if the balloon is a no go the craters' contents is interesting.

I did read your theory. The one 'bout Hanso controlling flow of information coming in from the outside world? Deceiving Dharma employees? The crater with the lab? Ummm top floor being abandonded but lower leves still operating?
Yeah.
I read that one.

And I just didn't have anything to say about any of it except the unlikeliness of the balloon portion.
So take it easy friend.

Sorry, Officialben. Admittedly I did take offense from your initial comment but if you have read it then fair comment. Everyone here is doing great work. Continue with the kickass casts guys.

It might be a possiblity. Maybe they could also make some kind of how do you call that stuff... a delta plane? the one that just floats on air. They could go to higher grounds, jump off a cliff and explore the island that way (getting off the island with it, would be a tad bit optimistic ). That would be a nice new camera view in Lost too

They are NOT going to get off of the island using Henry's balloon - come on - think about it. To be honest - I am not sure how Henry got on the island using such a small balloon. The balloon he described might have been used for around the world travel - but I think the one they find is more like the ones they take very short distanced balloon rides on. That and I am sure Zeke and his Forest Flamers are ready with the weapons they took from Jack, Locke and Sawyer - to just shoot them down - much the same way the blew up Michael's raft.
