A co-worker - and fellow LOST viewer - asked me today whether I had any rituals involved with my LOST watching. I mean aside from drinking copious amounts of Gin (and Diet Dr. Pepper this week) and playing my bass during Charlie episodes and sharpening all of my kitchen knives during Locke episodes and dressing in scrubs during Jack episodes and borrowing my next door neighbor's infant son for Claire episodes - nope - I don't have any - but I wondering if any of you all out there do anything special for LOST night.

I dont have any rituals, but it seems like every week, i recieve text messages from my ignorant sister who taunts me about watching the show religiously, and my friend dylan, always calls durning the last 3 minutes of the show, forgetting that i watch the show religiously. IT'S WEDNESDAY PEOPLE! STOP CALLING ME! so anyway, i recently got my sister hooked on Lost (i think i have seen my dvds once), and she asked me a question when after she gave me back the first disc. She asked,:"did you learn anything new, watching the first disc again?" i replied,"Yes, i figured out that everyone on the island is dead". i go t a kick out of it, she was P.O.ed that i was making fun of her new favorite show!

I think I'll start a ritual this week. I'll turn my tv upside down and stand on my hands through the entire episode. Either that or I'll drink a white russian. Hmmm... I'll think about it and let you know.

Doh! Looks like I'm out of milk... that means no white russians OR handstands. Looks like I'll have to think of something else.

You go mbison - start it - I love the idea of upside down LOST watching - but I can't do that if I am to remain gin soaked. I haven't quite gotten that handstanding and drinking at the same time down yet - maybe I'll train for that during the summer in preparation for Season 3.

Well, it's decided. I just poured myself a chambord martini. With only an hour left until the new episode, I hope to still be sober.

Blech.... should've used the good vodka.

Alright - here are the rules - no esoteric alcohol - Chambourd? That just reaks of elitism. And isn't that a sherry? Or am I totally wrong. Anyway - alcohol should be clear at all times - GIN is the preferred method of watching LOST - but Vodka or Corn Liquor are acceptable also.

well, the good vodka wasn't cold and I wasn't gonna drink the bad stuff straight. And actually, I'm pretty sure chambord is a liquer. I'll whip out the Hangar One and the tonic water for the show. I hope that will appease the liquor gods.

Oh. It's a high end vodka from a small distillery in California. It's the best vodka I've ever had by far. I'll mix that with a little tonic and make a toast to Igmar during the show.

Cool - works for me I am actually thinking about putting a Gin Soaked theory together for this week - tho I was kind of thinking about waiting for the end of the next three episodes for another one. We'll see.
