On the previous podcast you guys got an email drom someone saying that the shoe we see hanging on a brach in the first episode of season 1 could have some importance. Well, unfortunately i don`t think it does other that adding to the atmoshpere of the show.
In the book entitled "Lost-Chronicles" an interview with J.J Abrams reveals all. When the interviewer asks him, "Does the shoe in the jungle have any significance?". Abrams replies by saying something along the lines of "The shoe is just there to show the viewer of the unsettling aftermath of something major."
Here we can see what he means with such unsettling images possibly reminding us of 9-11 or other inccidents like it.
Anyway, just thought i`d kill that possible road for a theory before it spirals out of control.
