Hey Jack...
Long time listener, first time poster, etc, etc...
I'm going across to Las Vegas from here in Hull in England (twinned with Raleigh, NC I believe!!!) in April...
Seeing as you're a veteran of Vegas, is there any attractions you'd recommend doing, or casinos that you'd recommend going to, or even places to eat, especially ones I'm not going to find in the 'tourist books'...
Much appreciated. Keep up the good work!

I have heard that one of the best places to eat is at the RIO, they have one of the best and largest Buffets in Vegas, I have played there, but have not eaten there. it's a fun place for young people to go. For sights I would recomend some of the newer bigger hotels, just stay on the strip and you'll see all kinds of fun places to go to. have a great time while your there

A far as buffets go I would definitely recommend the Bellagio. If you go right before lunch you can pay the Breakfast price while alos getting lunch. The Rio is pretty good but the quality at Bellagio is outstanding. If you want to stay a little off the strip I would recommend the Silverton which is about 3 miles south of the airport. Its a nice smaller casino with low rates and good food. There is a Neon Graveyard of all the Old Las Vegas signs which I think you have to book in advance but I haven't done that so I am not sure. Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire and Zion NP are great daytrips if you like the outdoors.

The Luxor has a good buffet. Mandalay Bay has a shark exhibit. I can't remember the locations, but there's a casino that has carnival type rides, one has a Nascar exhibit, there's a M&M candy tour. I'll try and find out where they are and get back to you .

You should try it sometime.

There are lots of Vegas podcasts that have good info. I personally like FiveHundyByMidnight. Be prepared to see a lot of cranes and other heavy construction on the strip. Please make sure you have all your vaccinations if you dare to enter Circus Circus.
