Hey Jack, can't wait to see you guys here in San Diego at Comic Con. I was wondering if you've seen the new Chargers uniforms. It's not yet easy to find pics on the internet, but they look okay; still Navy at home, White away, and Powder Blue for special events, but the bolts are now gold, with thin outlines of Navy and Powder Blue, the numbers font is different, there are numbers on the shoulders and the shoulder bolts are lower on the sleeves, and the lighting on the pants is no longer jagged, and the helmet is now metallic white with the gold bolts. I don't hate them, but it's gonna take some getting used to. And while I'm not superstitious, it feels a little weird to change uniforms coming off of a season of destiny like they just had. (That last game still stings.) Anyway, just curious about another true believer's opinion.

Going to assume he meant "'our' uniforms are way sweeter"...what team he means specifically must be the Patriots, which I just don't see, but there's no accounting for taste. Just bought a new Chargers jersey off ebay, and gotta say it's sweet!

The Chargers picked one of my Georgia boys, Paul Oliver, in the supplemental draft and you can tell by his quote that he is no Eli (Sh-eli) Manning: "The biggest thing for me was that I was picked by a legitimate Super Bowl contender and I could not be more excited about getting a chance to play for the Chargers," said Oliver. "This marks the end of a great chapter of my life at Georgia and now the chance for a great start in San Diego. I'm just ready to go out there and play." And here is what A.J. Smith had to day: "We had the opportunity to get a good football player today, and we took it,” said Chargers' General Manager A.J. Smith. “Paul Oliver is very competitive, aggressive, confident player. He’s not cautious about anything he does on the field. You know how we like depth. We’ll add Paul to the mix as a Charger and time will tell.” Happy news all around.
