It used to bug me that the Lostaways don't seem to have any memory of what happened in the previous episode. For instance, in one episode, Sawyer took the guns. In the next episode, life as usual. Or recently, a new hatch was found. The next episodes: no mention of it.
Here's my explanation: It all comes down to the relativity of time. For us, anywhere from one to eight weeks or more passes between episodes. For them, however, very little time might pass between episodes. The time between "The Whole Truth" and "Lockdown", for example, was zero.
The episode after the one where Kate and Claire visit the Medical hatch could have occured very soon after those events. I don't think either of those ladies were in that episode, so it's conceivable that they hadn't even returned yet. It's also possible that what's important to us isn't as important to them. They've had a lot happen to them in less than two months, remember. Claire may not be very concerned about announcing a disappointing hatch discovery when she's more worried about Aaron. Kate might like having a secret of her own, or something she can bring up to sound cool in front of Jack.
Hope that sets yer mind at ease.
