Jack's Drink

Hi HJ,

This kind of supports your theory that the crash never really happened (a theory I like a lot), but ever since watching the repeat showing of the pilot episode last Wednesday, there's one scene that keeps nagging at me, and that I don't believe anyone else has mentioned. It's the scene on the plane where Cindy asks Dr. Jack about his drink. When he says it wasn't much of a drink, she gives him two more mini bottles, one that he drinks right away and the other ends up being used as an antiseptic. I'm thinking the drinks may have had a little something "extra" and could explain Dr. Jack's blacking out. The camera seemed to spend a lot of time making sure we saw him drink the whole bottle, just before hitting the turbulence.

Wouldn't that mean that Sawyer and Kate would've blacked out after their drinking game back when they were looking for the boar? Sawyer had a lot of the drinks in his stash too, so I think we would've at least Sawyer passed out somewhere. I really do want to support Jack's no crash theory though, so I'm hoping we figure it out.

Good point. I'd forgotten about Sawyers stash. Maybe the special drink was only meant for Jack. The show does sometimes feel like Jack is the only primary character and everyone else is secondary. Or I could be just plain wrong.
