Did Ben kill the Dharma Initiative?

Jay,

do you think Ben killed the Dharma people with help from the island's 'inhabitants'
or
do you think Ben's dad Roger "Workman" Linus betrayed the Dharma people and helped to gas them.

Maybe the scene in the van, occurs right after Roger tells Ben of what's he's done and shows him the mask and gas. Then Ben kills his dad and warns the island's inhabitants who manage to keep the island secret but not in time to save the Dharma people. This would explain a little bit the fact that Roger doesn't seem surprised when Ben puts on the mask, Roger would have already told him they were a precaution.

Ben seemed to like life on the island and seemed to hit it off with Annie. I think his dad, Roger had the motivation. And as another crackpot theory, I think Roger 'Workman" Linus is JACOB (in cabin 1 - Jack's dad seems to be the current occupant of cabin 2?).

I have a different if equally confusing theory.

Ben may or may not have killed the Dharma Initiative (I still think he did not).

But what if:
Ben both did and did not kill the Dharma Initiative.
(What are you crazy?! How can Ben both kill the Dharma people and not kill them?)
A.) Well, what if Ben also had his mind jumping like Desmond?
On the island Desmond's 'present self' mind jumps back in time and has flashes of the future. But when Desmond leaves the island, his 'past' self is in his body asking questions.

B.) What if Ben gets visions like Desmond and does a whole bunch of bad things to try and control his power and manipulate events.

C.) What if when Ben leaves the island (as the passports, money and freighter photo suggests) his past mind jumps in (and around) and sees what the 'other Ben' has done.
What if Ben's consciousness before he went on the island (young 12 yr old Ben) is now in charge and doesn't like what "old Ben" has been up to.

D.) Now where would 'old Ben' go? Where did Desmond's present self go? I think they went to the cabin.

1.) Ben is Jacob.

2.) When Ben left the island his young consciousness inhabited his body and his older/then present consciousness went to the cabin and became "Jacob" (and he's there now with Desmond, and Jack's dad)

3.) Ben is affected by the same mind jumping as Desmond and a young Ben is now in control trying to fight what old Ben has done.

4.) Ben is the Economist. He's a past/future self who while on the island mind jumped into the past to set events in motion. (Now Ben's current younger self is battling with Sayid to prevent those events from unfolding).

I think at some point Ben left the island to continue his machinations and this is when young Ben jumped it and started to fight what he had done and become. I think evil Ben is currently in the Cabin with the current Desmond and Jack's Dad).

Is this crazy or what?
