I have one, Im on it now and I must say it is the most awesome thing I have ever owned! Once you download the new software for it, it pratically is the iPhone apart from the actual phone and camera but I have a perfectly good mobile so I dont have to worry about that

I've had the 16G iTouch for about 2 months now and I love it. It lags and is slow sometimes but I'm sure the next new software update will deal with these bugs. If you don't already have the new software with the iPhone aps, you should look into it. Overall I'd give it 4 out of 5 gold flaky stars.

FWIW, I will only get the solid state versions of the iPod because of the wear and tear issues. I'm pretty tough on gear, though.

I got an iPod Touch back on January 6th. It ticked me off that a week later, they introduced the January Software Upgrade. I bought it anyways. It's definitely the coolest thing that I own, but suggest that you get it only if you have Wi-Fi in your home. If you don't, go with the 8 gig Nano, or a Classic.
