Jay you got the timeline wrong!

Hey I called up to help you out with this but just to make sure since my calls sometimes don't air.

Timeline:

-Paulo/Nikki find the Pearl on Day 24....this is when Boone is on his vision quest.
-Paulo goes back to the Pearl on Day/Night 49....
What you missed was Ben and Juliet's convo as they walk into the Pearl through the front door.

Ben: "Who left this door open?"
Juliet: "Tom was down here, I'll make sure to put the plane back over it."

^On Day 49 Michael first talked to Walt on the computer. I think that Tom was talking to Michael on the computer while watching him from The Pearl.

Also, Ben wasn't wearing what he got caught in, he was wearing his jungle garb from "Live Together, Die Alone" on the Pala Ferry.

By the way, I think the mythological questioned answered was who was Michael talking to on the computer?

Oh and just to confirm, On Day 49 they already had Walt so Jack is not the reason why he kept him.

Actually, Ben said, "Who left this open?"
Julliet said, "Tom was down here a couple of days ago."
Ben said, "Well, have him cover it up with the plane."
This should answer the question of how Ben and Julliet got into the Pearl. The same way Paulo did a few minutes earlier.

Oh....so then they flubbed the timeline again or Tom wasn't the one talking to Michael. Because that scene takes place on the night of Day 49 which was the same day Michael first talked to "Walt" on the computer.

This scene shows, via the monitor, Jack in the bedroom watching the wounded Sawyer and talking to Kate, who has just entered for her shift. Ben mentions that he will get Jack, Sawyer & Kate by using Michael. Later that same day, Michael gets his first message "from Walt" on the computer!

Alright, so they're going to use Michael. After Ben and Juliet leave the Pearl they instruct Tom to go back there and pretend to be Walt!
