Wow a hundred bucks is kind of thin, you can get like a squire bullet, or an epiphone les paul junior special for like $99 those will probably be your best buys. Those guitars are still not that great though. Now if you had a budget of like $250-$400 you could get a really good guitar with that kind of budget. So its up to you get one now thats ok, or save some more and get a great one.

Are you looking for an electric or acoustic? Either way, you're going to have to save at least another 100 bucks to get something that's worth it, but there are some decent cheap acoustics a little closer to your budget. Some Ibanez acoustics I've played run pretty cheap ($140-$350) and are OK.
Acoustic makes it harder to play Immigrant Song, though.
I agree w/ jay, the Squire bullet and Epi Les Paul Jr. aren't very good, and you don't get the best stuff in those packages you can buy with a guitar & amp combo. The necks are bolt-on, the electronics are glitchy. Save up for a while, sell some junk on ebay, pick up some extra cash for a while, and get yourself about $400. You can get the Epi Les Paul Studio for $350, the Standard for $400. If you're just going to play at home, budget about $100 for a good small amp. My $100 15-watt Marshall can't play clubs, but it can tear the roof off at home.

You guys are lucky in America... guitars are cheaper over there... I started on a squier affinity which is not too bad actually... umm i think it was $200 or $300 ish.... ($150US probably) but dont forget you need an amp too if you buy an electric!

Try a good music store, you might be able to find a good used one, for that price. But I have to agree with everyone else. If you want it new, you will have to save atleast another $100.
