Jay, you mentioned in thr latest podcast how reading The Da Vinci Code first ruined the movie for you. I'm the same way. Whenever I read the book before I see a film, I always over-analyze the movie-version. I try to see if certain scenes are just like the book.
Also, when the two of you were talking about how people don't pronounce the names of certain towns in the San Diego area right, it made me laugh. I've heard La Jolla & El Cajon pronounced wrong, too. What about Jamacha? That one really throws people.

I haven't read it, but isn't The Da Vinci Code anti-Catholic? oh, and regarding that city pronunciation... let me try... (i'll put this in spoiler font just in case Jay wants to try himself ) Ja- MAH- chuh? eh, seems too easy, though. I'm probably wrong.

(modified cause I was in a hurry)
Yeah, people are making it out to be anti-Christian...but I just look at it as entertainment

No kids - the DaVinci Code is NOT Anti-Catholic or Anti-Christian - granted there are very negative representations of certain aspects of the modern Catholic Church - but - and this is the biggest reason I am so "Anti-religion" today - is the fact that those who practice any religion are so "close minded" it's not funny. Do I believe in a higher power - sure - I mean - I was an altar boy and appeared in more performances of "Godspell" than you can count LOL - but who REALLY knows what that higher power is? Just be good to each other - and live by this simple rule - don't do anything to anyone that you don't want done to you by someone else - pretty much - live by the "Golden Rule" LOL Criminey - that was philosophical Keep an open mind

Yea im a catholic and I loved the book. I think sometimes people just like to raise a fuss over things. and as for te correct pronunciation of Jamacha: HA-MUH-SHAW (that may not be the best way to spell it out to pronunce it, but i think that sums it up )

Sorry Igmar, I didn't mean that it WAS anti-Christian, I meant everyone else is making it out to be, and that I just think its fun to read/watch. Guess I should have specified in my earlier post (geez looking back on that makes me seem so negative about it ) Right it just has aspects that are...different from what people have been taught

its not that its antichristian, its just presented in a way where some people take it as fact when its really not. And it just sohappens that the things that people start believing from it happen to be the false things against the christians, catholics
