Im new so hey everyone Hurley is rich, very rich but as we see in NUMBERS, Hurley doesn't even really know what his stockbroker/accountant is investing in. The guy tells him 'you own part of this now, it'll be good for you' and Hurley (understandably, since he probably had no real knowledge of investment before then) just goes along with whatever he says. Dharma would need funding from somewhere...maybe their government funding ran out, who knows. Isn't it possible that Hurley could have brought into Dharma without even knowing it? Perhaps Dharma were looking for investors and promised big returns (thinking they would get a military contract out of their research and be able to pay back their investors with interest). I just feel there is a lot more to Hurley than has been so far revealed. I think you are meant to percieve him as the loveable comedic relief, wouldn't it be a twist if he was a major investor in Dharma?

I really do like the idea about maybe Hurley having bought some kind of something, it being stock or whatever, from Dharma.

Hey, that's a really good theory! I could definitely see that being a twist on the show...

Ooh, thats a great idea. Dharma needed a scapegoat to win the lottery for them and then have too much money to notice that they were taking millions from him. They had the power to rig the lottery but didn't want to get caught, so they found fatty and gave him the numbers. Great theory, I would like to see if that comes to pass.
