OK, this may sound strange, but i think the Others really aren't alive. i think they were the survivors from the Black Rock that died many years ago. they stayed and haunted the island to drive the rest of the shipwrecked-or really plane wrecked- nuts. i think the only reason they're still alive is because of the incident that the Asian scientist mentioned in the orientation video. SO, now about the animals, the polar bear or the black stallion. how weird is it that a polar bear, a bear whose very furs are hollow to hold body fat to keep warm in their natural habitat, is on a tropical island.(kinda weird...) and the Kate's black stallion, it was there once, but then how the heck did it get on the island? i ride horses avidly, i ride like two hours a day, and i know horses don't look that nice running around an island with no one to take care of them. Their mane's or tails would be knotted and it's coat wouldn't be glossy. their hooves would be chipped and crusty from lack of attention. Unless it had been well cared for or trained, it wouldn't let anyone touch it, even Kate. that's just my opinion, so ttyl.

What about the others on the boat?
Ghosts controlling boats and kidnapping children? I don`t think so to be honest.

These are horses on the Lost Island. If people can fall 30,000 feet out of the sky and have barely a scratch, why can't a horse look beautifully groomed? I'm going to bring up Joop the 100 plus year old Hanso orangutan. Maybe the Island has some antiaging properties.
