Couldn't they all be special?

Here's my theory on how they ended up on the island, why they are there, and why things keep happening.

All of the survivors are [glow=red,2,300]special[/glow]. It's obvious that Walt is special, but I think all of the rest of the survivors are too. They are all special to varying degrees. Walt is at the top of the heap therefore he stands out.

When so many people with special or psychic energies were together on the plane it caused the plane to be drawn to the island. And one of the Dharma project was testing ESP. When the plane was too close to the island it was ripped apart by one of the other Dharma projects using magnetism.

They keeping seeing things/people and causing things to appear(horses and monsters and polar bears, oh my) because they have always been able to, but are augmented on the island.

That's my theory of the island and the survivors. I could be wrong. *shrug*

That's a really good one! I've never heard a theory about the plane crashing that's so plausible. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if that turned out to be true. And about all the survivors being special, I'm almost positive that's the case. Or at least, they're all there for a purpose. Very nice!

Oh, and also, If this theory is right...then Walt may have something to do with it all..he has to have something to do with it all. Wiether intentionally or not,I think it's what he's thinking that makes things happen. did that make any sense?

I'm not so sure all the survivors have special psychic abilities, at least not that they are aware of. For instance, we haven't seen any evidence that Claire who was carrying a very special (evil?) fetus had any special insight. She just finally got spooked and listened to the psychic that kept bugging her for months. However, maybe Walt and fetus Aaron together had strong enough powers to affect the plane somehow.

I'd really like to know more about Walt. The thing he did with summoning the bird out of the picture book was freaky deaky. Also, his adoptive father, Brian, seemed afraid of Walt and releived to be rid of him when he went to deliver the instant fatherhood news to Michael.
