I really liked the use of the black horse in this episode. A black horse is so mysterious and almost dangerous. From the wikipedia about the movie "The Black Stallion":
The movie was tells the story of a boy who is shipwrecked on a desert island with a wild Arabian stallion. They become close friends, and later, the two are rescued. ... During the end credits of the film, scenes are shown of the horse and the boy, playing on the island together, as the haunting theme music plays.
I don't like how it says "the haunting theme music plays." LOST is all about haunting theme music!
