I don't know if anyone posted this or not, but the Sawyer being driven crazy by the frog seems like an indy joke about a particular breed of frog that has a been growing more prevelant in Hawaii.
There was a news story a few months back about these frogs in Hawaii whose ribbits were driving people crazy.
A local radio station here in LA did a very funny bit about it. I totally was reminded of it when Sawyer went on his frog hunt.
