Lindelof and Javi have both said that ABC edits the previews in a way that they feel will market the episode best. So the writers are never "messing" with us or trying to throw us off their trail.
Just thought I'd get the word out.

Yeah, but did anyone actually think they did? If they did that totally surprises me, because the writers have never had much input into that sort of thing on *any* TV show.
Sorry if I sound a bit cynical - I'm honestly surprised!

Yeah, I know tons of users who are under that impression. Not specifically on this board, but on some of the bigger boards like The Fuselage, where people run around saying "WHY DO THE WRITERS KEEP FOOLING US WITH THE PREVIEWS ". It gets a tad frustrating after awhile.

well someone is fooling us with the trailers. Doing a great job too, i appreciate it though, it doesn't give away the show.

I usually turn off the TV once they get to the preview part. I really dislike it when they imply something on the next episode will happen and nothing of the sort happens.

They make it seem like next weeks episode is going to be awsome, but now I am doubting it. I have been let down to many times.

I always watch the trailers, but with a wary eye. It doesn't matter though - like I'd miss an ep. anyway!

well i cant blame them for attempting to lead us on. they need to keep their viewers. after all, television shows are only breaks between commercials in the eyes of a network producer.

I always watch the trailers because it gets me excited about the next episode. I try to just watch them once and then not speculate about them throughout the week though. That way when the next episode starts, I've forgotten most of what the trailer was and it is all new to me. That way I am not disappointed when what I expected to happen didn't happen. Although, I was disappointed about nothing happening when the timer went to zero. Almost nothing anyway.

I watch them but I don't trust them.....many times they have let me down, or they show something that should have been a shocker in the next ep!!!

But it's true we shouldn't be mad at the writers, who are excellent with the stuff they come up with!!! It's amazing, all of the connections, and the way the issues on the island go along with the flashback issues, so cool!!!

Oh, even if the writers did the preview I'd want them to mess us up. I don't want to know too much too soon!
